Happy New Year!

I can not believe 2009 will be over in just a day and half. It's been an amazing year. I'm sad to see it go but anxious and very excited to see what's in store for 2010.

I've had such a blast this year with my Crafting team, Gotham City Stampers. I joined the team in Nov 2008 not knowing much of anything about crafting. Luckily I joined the most amazing team and learned so much from them. It still amazes me when I think about how talented and amazing this group is, and how blessed I am to be a part of it. I started out as a hobbyist till August after I came back from Convention. A majority of us went to the Stampin Up! Convention and we all came back so ready to Create, Share and Inspire. I came back ready to start my business but wasn't sure how to get started, and with the help of my amazing Upline Heidi Davenport (www.gothamcitystampers.com),

I had my business started within a month after convention. It's been so rewarding to be able to share what I've learned over the last year with others. I started out thinking "I can't do that", but Heidi and the rest of the team showed me just how easy it would be.
I've now got my very own Meetup Group Heart to Art Creations (http://www.meetup.com/Heart-to-Art-Creations/), and my very first downline who happens to be one of my best friends.

I'm also part of Heidis awesome design team, which is now in our 9th week.

My design:

It's been such an amazing here and I'm so grateful for all of my family and friends for all their love and support. 2009 you've been great but I can't wait for 2010. It's going to be FANTASTIC year!

Happy New Year to you all and may you all have a Wonderful and prosperous year!

Much Thanks,
Jennyb

Meet Up Group

This year being my first Holiday season for my business I decided to do my own 12 Days of Christmas. I LOVE Christmas. I look forward to it every year, even when times are tough. This year was particuarly hard with the economy in such a slump and I remembered how last year my wonderful upline and dear friend Heidi Davenport ( http://heididavenport.blogspot.com/) showed me some great handmade gifts ideas. So this year I was really excited to help spread that knowledge and do 12 Days of Christmas: Holiday Gifts.

It's been such a blast creating and sharing with friends, and meeting new friends. We done everything from cards, to stamping on Candles, to Christmas Ornaments, to This weeks class which is Scrapbook Tins.
Please Check out my Meetup Groups site for some great Photos of some great Stampin Up gifts.

Back from Hiatus

Hi Everyone, Im so sorry I've been MIA. I've just really got my Meetup Group Heart To Art Creations up and running and with the Holidays here too its taken up alot of my time. For the Holidays I decided to do a 12 Days of Christmas with my Meetup Group. Its been so much fun, just Sad my 12 days of Xmas are almost over :(
Here's a little recap of the last three weeks.

First off very excited that I have lots of new design additions to the Gotham City Stampers Design Challenge. Week #5 Marty came up with a really cool sketch:

I sat for a few with this sketch unclear as to what I should create, and then I rememberd a few days after it was my Brothers birthday. I had gotten the LOTS O BOTS set from the SU Catalog specifically for his birthday card. And then it hit me, 'I should make a birthday card for my birthday using this great sketch'. Here is my Design:

For Week 6:
Marty created this awesome sketch.

Since I was just starting my Christmas cards I decided to take advantage of our weekly sketches and make Xmas cards. For this sketch as soon as I saw it, I just knew I had to use Stampin Up!'s AMAZING Medallion Stamp.

For week 7:
Marty came up with a fun flower sketch.

But being I was in the Christmas Spirit I saw ORNAMENTS :)

Last but not least this weeks fabulous "Urban"sketch.

Now of course I saw buildings in the sketch and instantly saw MY NYC. I figured since New Years was coming up I would ring in the new Year with some Fire Works:

So excited to be on this Design Team. It's been an amazing 8 weeks. Stay tuned for Week 9. In the meantime please check out the rest of the teams designs at http://heididavenport.blogspot.com/

Thanks for stopping by :)

Gotham City Stampers Design Team: Week 3&4

Hi Everyone

Its been such a crazy two weeks. I've had so much going on I haven't had the chance to update the Wonderful sketches Marty has designed. This was the Sketch and My Design for Week 3

And this was my Design. This has been my favorite yet. I've been on Christmas mode for just about a week now, and love breaking out my new Stampin Up! Christmas sets. For this design I decided to use the Santa from the "Wandering Words" set from the Holiday Mini. I was originally going to use trees in the background but then I thought no I have to do something that represents where I live. Being from NYC I was so excited to make this card. I cant wait to make more for my Native NY'ers who aren't in NYC anymore.

For Week #4 I knew as soon as I saw it that I was going to use my DELIGHTFUL DECORATIONS stamp set. I had a hard time choosing between Stampin Up's! "Holiday Lounge" or "Merry Moments" because they are both such beautiful papers, but in the end Merry Moments won.

Here is my Design for Sketch #4

Stay Tuned for Design #5 coming this Sunday. Please Check HEIDI DAVENPORT'S BLOG for Rest of DESIGN TEAM designs.

Have a WONDERFUL HOLIDAY SEASON!

Gotham City Stampers Design Team: Sketch and Design #1

I'm so excited to be part of the Gotham City Stampers Design Team. Its an honor to be in a group of insanely talented women. This team was created by my wonderful Upline Heidi Davenport, and with the help of her wonderful fiance Marty a new sketch will be released weekly with our Designs to follow. This week Marty created our first sketch:

I was immediately inspired and within minutes created my first design. It also just so happened that a day later, Heidi brought to my attention that another card I created for our class also used this sketch.

Kudos to Marty for creating such wonderful Sketch!

Stay tuned for next GCS Design Challenge.

Welcome to Heart to Art Creations with JennyB

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for stopping by my Blog. My name is Jennifer Bonet and I'm a Stampin Up! Demonstrator here in the Fabulous New York City. Last November my life changed when I happen to be looking up classes to inspire my artistic side again. I stumbled upon the New York Stampers and Scrappers, and here is where I met my WONDERFUL upline Heidi Davenport.

By the end of my very first stamping class with Heidi I was ready to join her wonderful group of crafters, The Gotham City Stampers. Within months of joining this amazing team I learned far more than I could have ever imagined. My fellow team members are true inspiration. There is so much love, support and guidance, it truly amazes me. This past August I attended my first Stampin Up! Convention and left there so inspired to start my own business. With the love, support and guidance from my wonderful upline Heidi, I'm now able to share my passion with the world. I've created my very own group called Heart to Art Creations with JennyB (my team nickname), and I teach gift making classes, which include greeting cards, jewelry, candle decorating and so much more. I absolutely love giving gifts, and nothing makes me happier than a handmade gift. My gifts are made with lots of love, and the reason I started this group was to inspire and nuture the creativity of others so that they can make and give their own handmade creations too.

In addition to teaching classes I'm also a current member of the Gotham City Stampers Design Team. We had our very first Design Challenge this week, and I'm very excited to get the next post up with my design for this week.

Stay tuned for my first week's Design.....
