Design #12

Hi Everyone

It's that time of the week. Today I will be showing you my design for drumroll...... Week 12 of the Gotham City Stampers Design Challenge.

This weeks sketch

Last Wednesday I got an email from Splitcoast Stampers and saw instructions for an Easel card and knew i just had to make it. My mothers birthday was this past Saturday and i thought this card would be perfect especially with all the Gorgeous new products I just got from the new Occasions Mini. As I looked at the sketch and I knew it would go perfectly with that as well. So after many hrs of designing a very special card, this was my design

All of the products used are from the new Occasions mini. Aren't they fabulous? I'm totally in love with all the new products, and I think this week it shows :)

Hope you all enjoy this weeks sketch. Until next week :)

Card Organizer

Hi Everyone

Today I come to you with a really great project. One of my favorite Blogs is Lauren Meaders "My Time, My Creations, My Stampendence". She creates such Beautiful projects, AMAZING tutorials and templates to go along with her projects. I stumbled upon this fantastic one her Tutorials page for the Birthday Box Organizer. I immediately went to her online shop where I purchased her ALL BOXED UP template and immediately started creating my own Organizer. This is such a great project. Her templates and tutorials are so easy to follow. I just love my card organizer. I was kinda sad to give it to my friend, but incredibly Happy that she loved it so much :)

For this Card Organizer I used Stampin Up's New SWEET PEA PAPER STACK, that Im totally in love with! I used Taken With Teal, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Chocolate chip and Sahara Sand Card stock for Organizer.

Thank You Lauren for the WONDERFUL video tutorial, and for the GORGEOUS templates you design. Will be making more very soon.

Hope you all Enjoy

Design #10 is here!

Hi everyone,
First Id like to say HAPPY NEW YEAR! I wish you all a wonderful 2010. I'm coming to you today with week 10 of Martys Sketches. I can not believe it's been 10 weeks for the Gotham City Stampers Design Team (www.gothamcitystampers.com) This week Marty created a beautfiul nature scene that was inspired by his holiday trip to PA.

I struggled with my design for a bit because I was trying to go too literal. So instead I looked at the different shapes of the card and split my beautiful designer paper from the Occasions Mini :Sweet Pea paperstack, into what i saw as segments in the card and kept the natureness of the card with the tree paper and the "sun"with a scalloped circle.

See www.gothamcitystampers.com for the rest of the teams designs. Hope you enjoy this weeks sketch. Till next week.

Happy New Year!

I can not believe 2009 will be over in just a day and half. It's been an amazing year. I'm sad to see it go but anxious and very excited to see what's in store for 2010.

I've had such a blast this year with my Crafting team, Gotham City Stampers. I joined the team in Nov 2008 not knowing much of anything about crafting. Luckily I joined the most amazing team and learned so much from them. It still amazes me when I think about how talented and amazing this group is, and how blessed I am to be a part of it. I started out as a hobbyist till August after I came back from Convention. A majority of us went to the Stampin Up! Convention and we all came back so ready to Create, Share and Inspire. I came back ready to start my business but wasn't sure how to get started, and with the help of my amazing Upline Heidi Davenport (www.gothamcitystampers.com),

I had my business started within a month after convention. It's been so rewarding to be able to share what I've learned over the last year with others. I started out thinking "I can't do that", but Heidi and the rest of the team showed me just how easy it would be.
I've now got my very own Meetup Group Heart to Art Creations (http://www.meetup.com/Heart-to-Art-Creations/), and my very first downline who happens to be one of my best friends.

I'm also part of Heidis awesome design team, which is now in our 9th week.

My design:

It's been such an amazing here and I'm so grateful for all of my family and friends for all their love and support. 2009 you've been great but I can't wait for 2010. It's going to be FANTASTIC year!

Happy New Year to you all and may you all have a Wonderful and prosperous year!

Much Thanks,
Jennyb

Meet Up Group

This year being my first Holiday season for my business I decided to do my own 12 Days of Christmas. I LOVE Christmas. I look forward to it every year, even when times are tough. This year was particuarly hard with the economy in such a slump and I remembered how last year my wonderful upline and dear friend Heidi Davenport ( http://heididavenport.blogspot.com/) showed me some great handmade gifts ideas. So this year I was really excited to help spread that knowledge and do 12 Days of Christmas: Holiday Gifts.

It's been such a blast creating and sharing with friends, and meeting new friends. We done everything from cards, to stamping on Candles, to Christmas Ornaments, to This weeks class which is Scrapbook Tins.
Please Check out my Meetup Groups site for some great Photos of some great Stampin Up gifts.

These are just a few of my samples. There's loads more pics on site. We had a great time this holiday season. It's bittersweet my 12 days is coming to an end. But hey it's almost CHRISTMAS!!
